Former deputy Interior Minister is in an intensive care unit at New Hospital. At the moment he is being operated. Gela Kvedelidze is undergoing a surgery at the moment. Eliso Kiladze, his friend has informed Rustavi2.

Kvedelidze"s family members, law enforcement officers and relatives are on the ground.

The Former Minister was attacked today. The incident took place on Tarkhnishvili street, near his house. Reportedly, he was attacked by two masked men.

Gela Khvedelize was accompanied by his wife during the incident. Accordingly, police plans to interrogate Marekh Feradze. Criminologists are working near his house at the moment.

Eliso Kiladze, " Chronicle Plus"s" Editor will be questioned as well.
Soon after the accident Eliso Kiladze announced that the attack was organized by a deputy head of the State Security Service- Ioseb Gogashvili and linked to revenge.
