Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responds to recent explosion in St. Petersburg

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of georgia responded to the explosion in St. Petersburg. According to the Ministry, it is not known yet whether there are Georgian citizens among the injured . Foreign Ministry reported that the consulate had open a hotline.

A hotline is active in Swiss Embassy in the Russian Federation: +7 926 926 2740.

Also operates a 24-hour hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Department: (+995 32) 294 50 50.

At this stage, the Russian side has no information about Georgian citizens among those killed and injured.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia calls on Georgian citizens who currently are in St Petersburg to coordinate with the Consular Department of Georgian Interests and take local police’s recommendations into account.
