Head of Adjara Patrol Police, Kakha Bukhradze has been dismissed and will be replaced by Levan Maisuradze, the head of Rustavi Police, - stated Tengiz Kakhidze,Giorgi Beridze1s attorney, who is detained on criminal charges for Batumi events.

Kakha Bukhradze`s name is linked to the developments in Batumi on March 11. The rally participants at that time protested against frequent fines. The rally turned into unrest and the citizens were demanding resignation of Bukhradze.

Information provided by the lawyer is confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. By the announcement of the Ministry, the Patrol Police Department has rotation as a result of which Kakha Bukhradze was appointed as the head of the Patrol Police of Kvemo Kartli Division.

We remind you that Kakha Bukhradze was appointed as head of Adjara Police Main Division at the beginning of the current year. Prior to that he was head of Shida Kartli main division of patrol police department in Gori.
