The parliamentary majority received the new constitution of the country in the first reading. Georgian Dream lawmakers have unanimously adopted the new edition of the Georgian law, and no opposition party was present at today"s session.

The majority evaluates the unanimous decision and calls the event "important". The ruling team says that they will receive a completely legitimate document.

Eka Beselia, chairperson of the parliamentary committee for legal issues, calls the adoption of the new constitution in the first reading "a historic moment".

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Giorgi Kakhiani notes that the new constitution will ensure the country`s democratic development.

The MPs voted for the draft law on the Constitution of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
