Leisure complex sold for transportation of two trees - Opposition speaks about signs of corruption

The territory of Makhinjauri leisure complex in Adjara was sold to the investor several months ago for 3 million 900 thousand lari without installments. The businessman should build a hotel and invest in this area, but in 2 weeks the investor decided to sell the area.

The sale of the land has not been implemented yet, and the businessman did not pay the amount for the territories to the state, but during this time, tree transplant works were carried out by former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili.

It is noteworthy that the Iranian company was also interested in a Makhinjauri holiday destination, which was planning to pay 38 million dollars for half of the area, but the authorities say that the company failed to transfer the money.

Opposition parties see corruption signs and money laundering in this case. They call law enforcement agencies to get interested in this fact.
