Government is trying to create an illusion that the are ready for negotiations - non-parliamentary opposition

 

Non-parliamentary opposition calls on the government to compromise on constitutional amendments. Leaders of the Coordination Council state that a bilateral compromise is needed for the result and they are ready for it.

What kind of compromiise the opposition spectrum isready for is unknown, though it is known that the compromise does not concern the mixed electoral system.

The non-parliamentary opposition accuses the government of ignoring the recommendations of the Venice Commission once again and of the failure to fulfill its promise.

Giorgi Akhvlediani, a member of the Democratic Movement - United Georgia thinks that the ruling party plans to conduct the elections with a mixed system and the government`s offer to dialogue is only an attempt to drag the time.
