Majority MP states that story broadcast by " P.S " on the scandal linked to State Security Service is slanderous

"Freedom of media does not imply of slander. The story which was broadcast by Rustavi2 yesterday was slanderous,"- Sopho Kiladze, the Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament responds to a story, broadcast by Rustavi 2 in the " P.S". The former employees of the State Security Service state in the story that the agency was going to collect compromising evidences against political opponents before elections.


According to the parliamentary majority, such stories are against democracy.


"It was obvious that this person had problems in the family and went abroad with friend. They use it for slanderous purpose. This person is used to discredit Vakhtang Gomelauri. This is defamation,"- said Sopho Kiladze.
