Zurab Abashidze says that the occupation line can be extended

Zurab Abashidze does not exclude the creation of new banners at the so-called occupation line. The Prime Minister"s Special Representative for Relations with Russia says that the process of moving the occupation line may continue.

Zurab Abashidze summed up the talks held in Strasbourg and Prague today. According to him, the current situation in the occupied territories and the Russian creeping occupation were the main topics of discussion on the meeting with European diplomats and Gregory Karasin.

"We have discussed difficulties on the occupied territories, the occupation line, recent developments in the village of Bershueti. There was quite a detailed discussion on this topic. As about the Prague format, it was said that trade relations and some humanitarian relations with the Russian Federation have been restored, but unfortunately these relations have not been reflected on Russian policy towards the occupied territories of Georgia, "said Zurab Abashidze.

According to the Prime Minister"s special representative, the EU representatives reiterated support to Georgia"s policy and emphasized the necessity of maintaining dialogue with Russia.
