Amnesty International conclusions on Chabuk`s case are perceived in different ways by Ministry of Refugees and International Organizations

The report of the Special Representative of the United Nations in respect of the situation in the prisons of Turkey is perceived in different ways in Georgia and international organizations. Amnesty International concludes that the extradition of Mustafa Emre Chabuk to Turkeyshould not be carried out , but the Ministry of Refugees used this conclusion to prove that there is no inhuman treatment in Turkey.

Irakli Lomidze, the head of the Department of Refugees, notes that the UN Special Rapporteur mentioned inhuman treatment in Turkey only at the beginning of the year during the attempted coup in the country. According to Irakli Lomidze, torture facts were not recorded in Turkey at the end of the year.

The Demirel college manager and his family were refused refugee status several days ago. The ministry has made it clear that Mustafa Emre Chabuks is not in danger of inhuman treatment in Turkey, which, according to the agency, has been stated in the latest report of the international monitoring in the Turkish prisons.
