Leonid Kalashnikov, the main host of the meeting, summed up the meeting held in the Russian Duma with the leaders of the "Alliance of Patriots".

Communist Party member talked to the Courier about the communiqué that the Georgian delegation received after yesterday`s meeting.

Kalashnikov believes that the main problem of restoration of relations between the two countries is not occupation, but the law on occupation and that this issue was raised by the Georgian lawmakers in the agenda. He also said that the proposal was made about negotiations with the North Atlantic Alliance.

"We discussed the actions of the NATO bloc together with other colleagues at the meeting. We expressed our concern about holding NATO`s exercises on the territory of Georgia. I personally mentioned that where there is a territorial problem there is NATO. Problems that end with bloodshed. We are watching this in Ukraine. In Moldova,where some part of the population is dissatisfied with the rapprochement with NATO.

". We believe that the Abkhazians and Ossetians should have the right to enter Georgia. It is impossible not to have contact with these states. The Georgian parliamentarians said that they did not support the law on occupation and will try cancel it , "- said Leonid Kalashnikov.
