The proposal of Patriots` Alliance to the Russian MPs for a direct dialogue between Russia and Georgia is negatively evaluated in Tbilisi.

According to the parliamentary majority, in the current situation when part of Georgia`s territory is occupied, negotiations with Russia make no sense.

"Our conversation with Russia depends on Russia`s position on our territorial integrity. Russia does not recognize the territorial integrity of Georgia, carries out occupation of Georgia and continues this process, so it does not leave for the Georgian side space for any kind of negotiation, "- Gedevan Popkhadze said.

The proposal is categorically unacceptable for the opposition. The "National Movement" calls actions of the Alliance of Patriots traitorous.

Leaders of "European Georgia" state that in the negotiations Georgia should not be alone face to face with Russia and it is necessary to make better use of the Geneva Meetings with participation of the international community.
