An exhumation of Salvador Dali"s body will be held on July 20.  The decision was made by the Supreme Court of Catalonia. The reason was Maria Pilar Abel"s statement . Maria Pilar Abel claims to be the biological daughter of the surrealist Spanish artist, who died in 1989 at the age of 84 in his hometown of Figueres.

As she says, her mother had an extramarital affair with the painter in the 1950s while she was working as a maid in his household.

The Salvador Dali Foundation has lodged an appeal against the exhumation.
