The Tbilisi City Court sentenced the high ranking official of the Tbilisi City Hall to the pretrial detention as a preventive measure. The decision was made by the judge today.

The judge of the case satisfied the request of the prosecution. The prosecutor said at today"s meeting that there is a threat that the witnesses may be pressured.

The defense side demanded a bail of 15 thousand GEL as a preventive measure.

The defendant addressed the judge.

Otar Abesadze says he is ready to cooperate with the investigation in order to " finish this case."
