"Our goal is to strengthen pressure on Russia," - Tom Cotton, Senate Armed Forces Committee member

Tom Cotton, a member of the Senate Armed Forces Committee, said today that the United States should have an immediate aim to pressure Russia to withdraw its armed forces from Georgia and Ukraine.

The Senator made this statement in response to the question on NATO expansion in the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Tom Cotton came to talk about a violation of the agreement on the liquidation of the medium and close range missiles by the Russian Federation and the response of the United States.

" On the background of the Russian armed forces deployed on the territory of Georgia and Ukraine it is unclear what will happen to these countries` membership aspirations. We aim to strengthen pressing Russia , so that it returns Crimea to Ukraine, leaves the east of Ukraine and Georgia . State Secretary stated that sanctions imposed against Moscow will be in force until Russian troops remain on the territory of Ukraine. Russia has been trying to destabilizeand divide the West . This is its usual behavior, and we have to ccunter provocations with relevant action, "- says Tom Cotton.
