In order to liquidate fires in Borjomi and Ateni gorges, the President has issued a decree on the use military force.

The PM and the President talked about the necessity of mobilizing additional forces in the fight against the disaster yesterday, after which Giorgi Margvelashvili issued a decree.

By his decision, the civil defense forces and the first infantry brigades of the Land Forces of the Georgian Armed Forces, as well as the Logistic Supervision Command of the General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces will get involved in the fight against the fire.

MPs will gather at the extraordinary session of parliament today to approve the President"s Act.
