US government handed over to Georgian firefighters equipment 65 worth of thousand GEL

The US government has handed over GEL 65,000 worth equipment to Georgian firefighters. The United States gave specially designed 500 pairs of fireproof shoes to firefighters.

According to the Deputy Ambassador, Elizabeth Rudd, the US government is ready to provide any kind of assistance to Georgia in the fight against the disaster.

The Rescue Service explains that rescuers working in the disaster zone are now equipped and new equipment will be sent if necessary.
