Demirel College shuts down. The authorization of the college has been suspended. The decision was made by the Ministry of Education .

After the expiration of a five-year term , the college has once more appealed to the Council, but was refused. The school director, teachers, pupils and their parents protested the fact.

"We are outraged by the allegations, based on which the Government of Georgia is trying to close one of the best colleges in the country and to fulfill the orders of a foreign country," said the parent of one of the students .

According to the students, there are perfect conditions for getting education and it is unacceptable to close it.

Nino Kavtiashvili, the director of the college claims that detention of Mustafa Emre Chabuk , the manager of the Demirel College in June had impacted the image of the school.
" I do not link the process to the political process, but it has undermined the reputation of the school. "said Nino Kavtiashvili.
