Catalonia"s regional government summoned to the Supreme Court of Spain

The Catalan leaders are being questioned at the Supreme Court of Spain. Nine high-ranking leaders have been summoned to the court in Madrid.But ousted Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont and four others have stayed away. Prosecutors could order their arrest.

Carles Puigdemont is in Belgium. He states that the process is politically motivated.
Catalan leaders are accused of rebellion - which carries a maximum 30-year jail term - as well as sedition and misuse of funds.
