Ilia II , the Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia responds to the tragedy in Mindeli Mine with a letter which has been released on the Patriarchate"s website.

Ilia II expresses his condolences to the families of the deceased.

" We are concerned over the tragedy, which took place in Tkibuli and caused the death of six people. Nothing happens without the will of God, However perhaps we should care mot for protection of human life," - reads the statement.
