Ten opposition parties boycott the parliamentary by-elections.
New Rights, New Georgia, Democratic Movement - United Georgia, European Democrats, National Democratic Party, Free Georgia, Freedom, Labor Party, Civil Alliance for Freedom, Veterans and Patriots` political movement released a statement about non-participation in the by-elections.
"Despite repeated calls from political parties, civil society and international partners, the main problem remains in the context of the election environment: the electoral system; Not equal media environment; not equal financial resources; unspecified list of voters; unfair rules of staffing of election administration; use of administrative resources for election purposes; bribing and intimidating voters.
"We call on all the real opposition parties to join the boycott of the elections so that the government is not allowed to create an illusion of the democratic process once again.
"At the same time, we will continue to fight for the reform of the international community, to intensify pressure on the Georgian authorities to establish a fair and democratic electoral environment in the country once and for all," reads the statement of the leaders of the parties.
