Rustavi2 was mentioned in the report of the US Department of State.
The annual document on human rights has been introduced to the media by acting secretary of state.

The 2017 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices (The Human Rights Reports) document the status of human rights and worker rights) of the State Department paid particular attention to the issue of freedom of the media.

The report notes that the merger of the three television stations - Imedi, Maestro and GDS, as well as the change of the role of public broadcaster, ultimately resulted in a decrease in media pluralism.

The document states that the Strasbourg Court had just suspended the execution of the Supreme Court decision and decided to study the case.

Among important issues is the alleged involvement of public services in the kidnapping of Afgan Mukhtarlii, interference in the court independece and the problems in the occupied regions. It"s about the so called kidnapping and murders of citizens by the occupants and the facts of violence against LGBT community representatives.
