The start of the process of selecting a new Chief Prosecutor by the Minister of Justice becomes the reason of protests by the NGOs.

The civil sector demands that Tea Tsulukiani withdraw from this process because
she backed the resigned prosecutor Irakli Shotadze and is responsible for the policy that was held by the prosecutor"s office.

"We do not think that NGOs should take part in this discussion and participate in the format of Tsulukiani, because she is responsible that the justice system is in such a situation," said the chairman of the NGO "Georgian Democratic Initiative" Giorgi Mshvenieradze.
