Murder in Khorava Street - Sergi Kapanadze to Lead Parliamentary Investigation Commission comprised of 17 members

Sergo Kapanadze will lead the 17-member parliamentary investigative commission to investigate the killing in Khorava Street. In addition, the Commission will have nine members from "European Georgia" .

The Georgian Dream does not have more than 8 members in the 17-member Investigation Commission. From these eight members, the Dream should share places with "Alliance of Patriots" and independent MP Salome Zourabichvili.

The UNM will not be in the composition of the commission. The party believes that the government will use this commission to drag time.

The Commission should investigate the murder of two juveniles in Khorava Street and determine whether there was an attempt to falsify the facts of the case and to distort the real picture. In addition, the Commission will have access to the criminal case materials and will be entitled to summon all the persons, including senior officials, who have been dealing with the most resonant case in recent times.

Parliament should approve the findings of the investigative commission, though this is only a political document. But if the commission finds guilty specific people, then the start of persecution is already the prerogative of the prosecution.
