Sergi Kapanadze, member of "European Georgia" will head a temporary parliamentary investigative commission studying the murder in Khorava Street in Tbilisi.The voting was recently held in the legislative body on approval of the Commission.
The majority of the 17-member commission is represented by the "European Georgia" with nine members, while "Georgian Dream" has six MPs in the commission.
Sergi Kapanadze appeals to the Prosecutor"s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to cooperate with the Commission.
"Our authority entered into force. Today the letters will be sent and all the relevant materials will be requested. I would like to address the government, particularly the Chief Prosecutor"s Office, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to work with this Commission seriously and to provide all the materials requested on time. I hope that no one will have an illusion that will manage to stop us or create any obstruction, "said Sergi Kapanadze.
The members of the committee are Archil Talakvadze, Mamuka Mdinaradze, Eka Beselia, Ani Okhanashvili, Dimitri Tskitishvili and Sopho Kiladze. From European Georgia: Sergi Kapanadze, Otar Kakhidze, Elene Khoshtaria, Irakli Abesadze, Sergo Ratiani, Khatuna Gogorishvili, Mamuka Chikovani, Giga Bokeria and Irma Nadirashvili.
Faction "Alliance of Patriots Alliance" is presented by Ada Marshania. Independent MP Salome Zourabichvili is also a member of the Temporary Parliamentary Commission.
The "National Movement" has not participated in the voting.
