A taxi driver in Tbilisi raped a passenger. The incident took place in Gldani.

The young girl stopped a taxi and asked to take her to Gldani. On the way, the driver offered the girl a beer, which she accepted. Later the driver raped the girl and physically assaulted her. The taxi driver took her phone and personal belongings and left her in the street.

The victim asked for help at a gas station. She was taken to a clinic by an emergency vehicle.

The abuser who raped the girl, who was born in 1981, was convicted in the past. The police have already arrested him and he is being interrogated at this moment. The victim who gives testimony to law enforcers is also in the police.
Investigation is in progress under the Article 126 Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia, Article I and Section II of Article 178 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime envisages from six to eight years of imprisonment.
