The meeting of the first diplomat of Japan and Davit Zalkaliani is underway at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Taro Kono has arrived to Georgia on his first official visit. At the meeting, the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries and the investment potential of Georgia will be discussed.

Japan supports Georgia"s sovereignty, territorial integrity and country"s aspiration in European and Euro-Atlantic structures.

The sides have already signed a new treaty that will generate 343 million dollars as preferential loan for Georgia for implementation of the East-West Express Highway Project.
