The employees of the Public Broadcaster demand the resignation of Vasil Maglaperidze. Several hours of noisy discussion ended without results in the broadcaster.

The employees of the Public Broadcaster have passed the deadline for signing a new agreement.

Employees have not signed a new agreement, which means that 150 people automatically lost jobs.

The dismissed employees demanded meeting with the Prime Minister and the leader of the Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

Journalist Nino Zautashvili said that the GPB employees demand the resignation of the Director General.

"We demand a meeting with the Prime Minister, asking for a meeting with Bidzina Ivanishvili, because this person is very associated with his name. Therefore, we ask personally as a citizen to engage in these processes because there are really very hard processes going on in GPB that will inevitably cause a lot of discontent in society. One of the demands will be the resignation of the Director General because he cannot manage the processes, "Zautashvili said.

Dodo Shonava, General Producer of the Georgian Public Broadcaster"s second channel, agrees with the request of Vasil Maglapheridze"s resignation. According to her, Vasil Maglaperidze is using the name of Bidzina Ivanishvili in his own interests.

At this moment Vasil Maglaperidze and Giorgi Gvimradze are meeting with another part of the staff behind closed doors.

The new agreement envisages hourly compensation for employees of the Public Broadcaster. Employees can not understand what is the real reason for their release.

Tomorrow trade union and GPB employees will hold a special briefing and demand Vasil Maglaperidze"s resignation once again.

They plan to start a legal dispute.
