IBSU students hold action-performance at the Authorization Council of the Ministry of Education

Students of Black Sea University held a protest demonstration at the Authorization Council of the Education Ministry.

Young people requested to review the decision of the Council, according to which the university will not receive the first year students.

IBSU students hope that the Authorization Board will change this decision because students are supported by the European Parliament and Freedom House.

The students say that they are creating an artificial barrier for freshmen to choose wanted university.

Director of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Tamar Sanikidze explains the decision of the Council and states that similar decision would be in case of other universities if they could not meet authorization standards.

According to Sanikidze, the new system of evaluation was elaborated and accordingly the university was evaluated.

The International Black Sea University will appeal the decision of the Authorization Council. Salome Sukhishvili, Manager of Public Relations Department of IBSU, states that they are increasingly talking about new and more recent developments at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.

Following the announcement of the Authorization Council, students have already held several demonstrations to protest the decision.
