A delegation of the Council of Europe visits Tbilisi. The members of the Monitoring Committee study a pre-election situation in Georgia. Besides politicians, the European lawmakers will also meet with journalists of the TV company "Iberia", Presidential candidates will focus on free media and business pressure at the meeting.
The members of the delegation are meeting the Presidential candidate of United Georgia at the moment. According to Grigol Vashadze, upcoming elections, the current media environment, economic situation and political prisoners will be discussed at the meeting.
" They prepare everything to rig elections and to take the victory from the united opposition,"- Grigol Vashadze says.
European deputies have already met with representatives of "European Georgia" and Davit Usupashvili, the Presidential candidate from "Development Movement", who focused on the importance of the elections at the meeting.
"I would like to emphasize the significance of these elections with the Council of Europe monitors, the significance of these elections for the parliamentary elections of 2020, and to ensure that readiness of administrative resources prevents to hold fair and free elections, "Davit Usupashvili said.
