"Georgian Dream" announces large-scale consultations on the draft law on cultivation and export of marijuana. Members of the parliamentary majority say that the issue is discussed with all interested people, including the church representatives.

The ruling team noted that if people are still against the cultivation of cannabis and the society will be against the amendments, the draft law will be withdrawn from the parliament.

"We are suspending this bill and start consultations with the Patriarchate, the Church"s representatives, and the members of the society who are interested in this decision, "- said Anri Okanashvili.

The statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Health Care and Social Issues. According to Levan Koberidze, first of all we should discuss decriminalization.
