The Pardon Commission has discussed the case of nGiorgi Mamaladze, but because not all the members of the commission agreed on his pardon, the positive recommendations have not been sent to the President - the statement was made by the Chairperson of the Pardon Commission.

As for Vano Merabishvili"s case, as chairperson of the Pardoning Commission says, the former Prime Minister has not applied with demand for pardoning .

"The Commission has not examined Ivane Merabishvili"s case because he has not written a statement, based on which the procedure should be launched. Giorgi Mamaladze"s case has been examined by the Commission in exceptional manner, because he has not served half of his sentence,"- said Zviad Koridze.

Today, President has pardoned 111 convicts, including 3 women and one minor.
