Journalists of "Iberia" met with the Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament. The TV Company employees provided Sopho Kiladze with a detailed information about the events in Iberia and Omega Group. As Vakho Khuzmiashvili, the head of the news service told journalists, journalists are not going to leave the television and are ready to address radical measures to maintain the broadcasting.
"We will not leave television, journalists will not leave the building. Nobody is going to leave the television. The Committee on Human Rights should invite the Minister of Finance who spreads lies from TVs. No one has ever restructured the debts neither 5 times, nor 10 or 11 times. All this is a lie. In this case, we need to restructure the debt of the Omega Group. Omega Group says it will pay the debt. We have to be able to continue broadcasting in the first place, " Vakho Khuzmiashvili said.
Sopho Kiladze made a statement after the meeting. The chairperson of the Human Rights Committee noted that media freedom is important for "Georgian Dream".
"We will try to take steps once again for media to have free broadcasting and here we will stand by our media representatives," Sopho Kiladze said.
