The Russian Foreign Ministry responds to the speech of the Prime Minister of Georgia in the UN and publishes a statement.
The Lavrov`s ministry took note of the part of Mamuka Bakhtadze"s speech where the Prime Minister addressed Moscow and urged not to interfere with the implementation of a new peace initiative with the occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region.
Moscow claims that official Tbilisi is still trying to inspire the international community that the residents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be happy to return to Georgia if it were not for "Russian occupants."
"Russia has long been calling on Georgia to start a dialogue based on mutual respect with Abkhazia and South Ossetia," Lavrov said.
