The visit of President of Germany to Georgia starts today

President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier will pay a visit to Georgia today together with his wife.

The official welcome reception of the President of Germany will be held at the Presidential Palace, which will be followed by face-to-face and extended meetings, after which, the Presidents of Georgia and Germany will make joint statements for the media.

During the official visit, Frank-Walter Steinmeier will meet with Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia, Speaker of Parliament Archil Talakvadze and Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II. He will also lay a wreath at the Memorial of Heroes.

In addition, the President of Germany will meet with Georgian businessmen in Tbilisi and visit the Kakheti region. Frank-Walter Steinmeier"s visit will end on October 8.
