The Supreme Court of Ukraine has declared legal the expulsion of former Head of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili from Ukraine to Poland on February 12, 2018. The resolution enters into force on its adoption, is final and cannot be subject to appeal.

“The Supreme Court has rejected a cassation complaint from Mikheil Saakashvili in the case on his claim against the administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, the Interior Ministry of Ukraine regarding the invalidation and annulment of the decision and the action on readmission of the plaintiff to the Republic of Poland”, - reads the statement of the court.
Mikheil Saakashvili already responded to the decision of the Supreme Court of Ukraine on social media. He said that the ruling was linked to the influence of former Ukrainian President Pero Poroshenko on the Court.
“Of course, I will appeal this decision in Strasbourg, where I win 100%, but this lawlessness of the Supreme Court once again demonstrates how powerful Poroshenko"s influence on the Ukrainian state structures”, - wrote Saakashvili
On May 28, 2019, President Volodymyr Zelensky returned Ukrainian citizenship to Mikheil Saakashvili by amending Poroshenko’s decree.
