Zugdidi’s former mayor will not be able to leave the prison over the weekend anymore. The decision was made by the penitentiary after a photo that was posted on the social network. According to photo, Lasha Gogia was in a restaurant.

“This person did not have such behavior that would testify that he was aware of his guilt. Accordingly, he was deprived of this opportunity”, - said the agency.

Lasha Gogia, along with the former vice mayor, was arrested in 2018 on charges of bribery. Both had been in jail for several weeks as part of a special program.
