81 people suffered fireworks-related injuries during New Year days. 51 out of these 81 people have been hospitalized. 48 cases were reported from Tbilisi and 33 - from various regions of Georgia.
Eight children have been taken to Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital as a result of shooting pyrotechnics on New Year’s Eve. One child has already been discharged from the hospital, seven underwent surgery. Among them one minor’s fingers were amputated. It should be mentioned that the Public Security Management Center “112” of Ministry of Internal Affairs on December 31 and January 1 received 124 calls regarding the use of pyrotechnics.
