5 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Kazbegi. The head of the Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze confirmed this information to Kurieri.

He added that an epidemiological study is underway at this stage.

“Currently, the research of contacts is being conducted on the spot, I mean Kazbegi municipality. We know approximately where the source might be, so an epidemic search is underway. I can not give you personal information. Our group has already left to Kazbegi and the local healthcare itself is studying contacts”, - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
