The Ministry of Defense has filed a lawsuit against David Kezerashvili and the Head of the State Procurement Department, Alexander Ninua, during his tenure as Minister of Defense, demanding compensation for the damage caused by the criminal act against the Ministry.

“The judgments of the 3 instances of the courts have established that due to improper fulfillment of the obligations imposed on him by Alexander Ninua, 5 060 000 Euros were accrued on the receivables of the Ministry of Defense.

This caused a violation of the legitimate interest of the state, while David Kezerashvili used his official position to misappropriate a large number of budget funds from the Ministry of Defense under his legal ownership and administration”, - reads the statement of the agency.
