Government acts in the interests of the country, so Georgia will not get involved in the Russia-Ukraine war - Kakha Kaladze

The Government acts in the interests of the country and citizens of Georgia and will not get involved in the Russia-Ukraine war. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

In such way he answered a question about the banners, which read: “Russia wants war, not the West”.

“I don’t know what the campaign is and what it serves. It is difficult for me to comment on this. Perhaps you should ask the people behind this campaign and they will tell you more.

As for the start of the war and the involvement of Georgia, we have talked about it many times. We can cite many specific examples, statements made by political parties, statements made by non-governmental organizations and the head of the Security Council of our friendly country, etc. However, I want to emphasize once again that our Government serves the interests of Georgia and acts as our people and, first of all, our country needs. Accordingly, Georgia will not get involved in the war”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
