Aleksandre Samkharadze, the bodyguard of the former deputy head of the Security Service, Soso Gogashvili, was charged with illegal storage of ammunition.

“The charge was brought under the third part of Article 236 of the Criminal Code, which refers to the illegal storage of ammunition. He was an employee of the State Security Service, he had a staff weapon. When he resigned, he brought back the weapon and forgot to bring back the bullets, and this led to his criminal prosecution”, - said Ramaz Chinchaladze, the lawyer of Aleksandre Samkharadze.

The court will probably discuss Samkharadze’s case tomorrow, August 31.
