The growth of tourism revenues exceeded 100% in the first quarter of this year. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.
“We had 7.5% economic growth in April, which is very promising against the background of the current very difficult geopolitical situation.
Export volume increased by 20% in April, and the growth of tourism revenues exceeded 100% in the first quarter of 2023.
Growth is observed in the construction sector, insurance-finance, transport, information and communications sectors. In general, the dynamics are very positive and need to be maintained.
As you know, the main determinant of all this is the peaceful period that we have in our country and also the right policy implemented by our government.
Also, I want to note that the business sector is very active. In the first quarter of the year, the economic turnover of this sector has increased by about 15%, which amounts to USD 44 billion”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
