I confirm that the payment was made by a private person and this person is Tariel Garibashvili. Such a statement made today the Head of the Special State Protection Service, while talking about the expenses related to the charter flight of Georgian Prime Minister to Munich.
“I would like to confirm that the equivalent to EUR 34 000 was transferred to the account of the State Maintenance Agency of the Special State Protection Service, which covered the expenses related to the Tbilisi-Munich-Tbilisi flight, by a private person.
The amount was paid in advance, and therefore, it is likely to be slightly corrected after Georgian Airways presents a detailed cost estimate. It usually takes about a month and a half after the flight. The amount paid fully covers the costs.
As for the budget payments, I would like to confirm to the public that at the initial stage, at the time of the assignment, it was clearly stated that the payment would be made from non-budgetary funds.
Today, I confirm that the payment was made by a private person and this person is Tariel Garibashvili”, - said Anzor Chubinidze.
