The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and the leader of the Georgian delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Nikoloz Samkharadze, visited the occupation line accompanied by the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pia Kauma.

During the visit, he briefed the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President about the challenging circumstances prevalent in the occupied region and the hardships encountered by the local population residing in villages near the demarcation line.

“My presence here aims to firsthand witness the situation on the ground and understand the consequences of the Russian occupation. I am deeply concerned about the circumstances. Naturally, we are committed to supporting Georgia in resolving its crises and challenges through peaceful means. The Parliamentary Assembly stands ready to assist Georgia in finding solutions, utilizing the resources and mechanisms at our disposal”, - said the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
