“2 years for the new development of Rustavi” - this was the content of the presentation that the Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, Governor of Kvemo Kartli Giorgi Dokhturishvili and Majority Deputy of Rustavi in ​​the Parliament of Georgia, Irakli Shatakishvili, presented to the population today.

The mayor of Rustavi and her team presented the results of two years loaded with new infrastructural projects, social programs, successful reform of municipal services and legislative changes necessary for reforms.

In 2022-2023, various infrastructure projects worth 87 million GEL from the central and local budget have been completed in 400 different locations in Rustavi. A new recreation area was built on an area of ​​170,000 square meters, together with the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, a strategy for the development of the Rustavi floodplain forest was created, and 14 out of 18 operating enterprises have passed the environmental responsibility law standards.

More than 118,000 beneficiaries have benefited from the social budget of Rustavi City Hall in 2 years, municipal services have been reformed, 3 public schools have been fully rehabilitated, within the framework of the Prime Minister"s program, the full rehabilitation of two schools and the construction of new gardens have been started. The second stage of the reconstruction of the renovated regions project - friendship avenue and the construction of the sports palace is nearing its end. New road infrastructure was organized. The years 2022-2023 were also active in the direction of investments.

In addition to the completed projects, transitional infrastructure projects have already been started in Rustavi: complete rehabilitation of Abkhazeti Street, reconstruction of the area from Heroes’ Square to Kostava Avenue and the central bridge of the city.
