From July 1, 2024, the non-electronic [so-called laminated] identity cards of Georgian citizens, which were issued before July 28, 2011, will no longer be valid.

The prepared Draft Law will be submitted to the Bureau of the Parliament today. The initiators of the project are MPs form the Georgian Dream.

It should be noted that currently the Parliament is considering the draft, according to which the voter will preserve the right to vote in elections with the so-called laminated ID card.
