The former Prime Minister of Georgia and the former Speaker of the Parliament, Zurab Zhvania will be awarded the Parliamentary Order of Freedom, as announced by the Chairman of the legislature at today’s Bureau.

“On December 9, we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of Zurab Zhvania and we plan to dedicate this day to this anniversary in the Parliament. Zurab Zhvania was a Member of Parliament during three convocations and the Speaker during two convocations, also a Prime Minister of Georgia and thus, has highly contributed to the development of parliamentarism in Georgia. In fact, he converted the Parliament into an institution, where the systematization of the legislation and the oversight functions have been intensified”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
