If anyone wants to help the Georgian people and their elected government to implement the 9 recommendations, the door is open to everyone. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, while talking about the 9 recommendations issued by the European Commission
“Regarding the 9 recommendations, steps have been outlined, one of which is a change in the party financing, which has also been agreed with the European Commission. I think everyone agreed that it is primarily the responsibility and prerogative of the Georgian government to implement these recommendations, to work and coordinate with the European Commission.
As for the opposition, they are invited to help the Georgian government in this process. If anyone wants to help the Georgian people and their elected government to implement these recommendations, the door is open to everyone. As we saw success in the implementation of 12 recommendations, we again expect a positive decision from the European Commission.
The Georgian government will successfully implement these 9 recommendations. The only thing we fear is that we will again see the opposition, as well as some activist groups, that will prevent the implementation of the recommendations. It is important that the government of Georgia be able to avoid this interference as successfully as it happened during the 12 recommendations”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
