Georgia solemnly celebrates receiving the status of a candidate. The Prime Minister of the country called the citizens to gather at Freedom Square, where the gala concert will start at 17:00.
On December 14, the European Council granted EU candidate status to Georgia. The country officially applied for EU membership on March 3, 2022.
