The National Environment Agency publishes the weather forecast for the next few days. From the morning of December 17 to the morning of December 18, rain is expected in Western Georgia, heavy in some places, heavy snow and blizzard in mountainous areas, storm on the sea.

A strong westerly wind is expected in most parts of the country, in the suburbs of Tbilisi, the wind may increase to 28-30 m/s from the second half of the day.

Expected precipitations on the rivers of Western Georgia may cause a significant increase in water levels, initiation and activation of landslide-flood processes in the hilly areas, and formation of avalanches in the mountainous areas of the country.
